We could not have asked for a better wedding experience thanks to Sundance Mountain Resort!

Before we were ever engaged, my then-boyfriend and I took a day trip from Park City to see Bridal Veil Falls. After hiking the falls, we decided to turn into the Sundance Resort to see what their food options were (turns out they are top notch). As we started our drive into the resort, I became excited about the creek that meanders along the property's entrance road. When we finally pulled into the resort, I was blown away by the beauty of it all: the view of Mount Timpanogos, the babbling brook, the rustic buildings, even the super chill dude who directed us to a parking spot. He's a nice touch, generally summing up the vibe of the employees. It was during this visit that I (secretly) decided that, pending an engagement, I wanted this to be the place where we got married.

    Fast forward two years...

This August we had our wedding at the Sundance Resort. It was perfect. Here's why:

The groom (admittedly that one was out of Sundance's hands)...

The natural beauty of the resort is like no other. The setting provided many fun things for our guests to do during the weekend: mountain biking, tubing down the river, scenic lift rides, horseback riding to Stewart Falls (awesome)...you name it, they did it. People who weren't there are convinced that we have a fake backdrop in our wedding pictures because it looks so pretty. They also missed all the fun...oh well!

The Sundance staff was flexible, nice, and genuinely excited for us. Katie Todd, the catering manager, made sure that all of our requests were more than taken care of. She oversaw everything and it all came together perfectly on the day of. Throughout the planning process, she was friendly and helpful. The bellman who drove me to meet my groom for pictures pre-wedding was so funny and excited for us. He really took the pressure off the whole "first look" scenario. Landon, who seemed to be the head server during our wedding, was prepping things for our reception when I was getting ready to walk down the aisle with my dad. He was so complimentary and enthusiastic about how things were coming together beforehand. I knew I didn't need to worry about potential disasters. And, at the end of the night, HE thanked US for an awesome/fun night! What a guy!

The food was fantastic--not wedding food fantastic, but any kind of food fantastic. For our cocktail hour we chose the baked artichoke and cheese dip (out of this world), vegetable crudite, fruit platter, and flatbread pizza. For our reception, we had the pepper crusted filet with mango chutney and the grilled vegetable and goat cheese strudel. Our guests are still raving that it was one of the best meals they've had.

We ended our night with one drink at the Owl Bar and they had a great live band (Marinade) playing. They loved the fact that I showed up, still in my wedding regalia, and even offered me a free shot.

All in all, we could not have asked for a better wedding experience thanks to Sundance and the wonderful staff there! We will be back to celebrate anniversaries in the future!

We visited Sundance Mountain Resort for a wedding and had a fabulous experience.

We visited for 6 days for a wedding and overall had a fabulous experience. They rent out a number of mountain homes that are up the hill from the resort. We stayed in Pinehaven and loved it. The videos posted on their website do the home justice and I'd easily stay there again. Sundance was very generous with ski passes for all the people staying at the resort so myself, my wife & our 6 year old never paid extra to ski. Very classy touch. Skiing was good, end of season so as it warmed up things got a little mushy at the bottom - but top half of the mountain had good conditions, GREAT views.

ALL the staff were very pleasant and just did many little things to enhance our stay. We are pretty easy going but still felt it was easy to ask for something that was easily addressed by the staff.

The overall experience is low-key and kind of cozy as there is only the base area, one lift up to start (more as you go up) and no nearby town to play in. But the places to eat & drink in the base area are good & if really motivated Park City is 45 minutes away.
